		<description>The original cut of Donnie Darko is really great. The Director's Cut strangely made it feel smaller with its flaws more apparent. I always thought of it as a John Hughes film seen through David Lynch or something close to that. The scenes in the suburbs were filmed in Chicago, in the same suburbs where Ferris Bueller took place. 

It was never a sequel film to begin with and this is a fairly idiotic move.
It's not like this is a big name franchise. It was a smallish cult affair for a time and I wouldn't think that this sequel would have big dollaroos written all over it.</description>
